The Festool Centrotec sets are great drills and various very handy bits etc. but occasionally jam inside the Centrotec chuck. Sometimes removing the chuck first then the bit works and sometimes you need pliers to remove the bit as the chuck is stuck fast also. This has happened many times to me, usually after driving a lot of screws in one go with a PDC-18.

Faster. Easier. Smarter.
As long as you remember to bring pliers.

Been using the stuff for 8 years now, never happened to me. I remember one single occasion where I had trouble removing the bit, but some metal shaving were lodged inside the chuck. A good cleaning remedied it.

The same thing has happened to me a few times. I find if you put the drill into reverse and on to clutch setting 1,2 or 3 then firmly hold the bit and gently squeeze the trigger, it generally comes loose.

This happens a lot with my impact drivers, a (couple of) light tap(s) with the bit on some hard material, metal works best, and they loosen up.

I've never had that problem either, but tighter tolerances obviously mean the mating pieces will be less tolerant of debris coming between them. An 80 pound magnet usually manages to pull all my broken bits out of anything on the rare occasions when it happens, so it might be helpful here, too.
