Hello, im new to FOG, but got a bit of festool stuff.
Just wondring if anyone knows when the festool centrotec systainer/system 2016
Comes out, yes i know we are in 2015 [embarassed]

welcome. dont know what a centrotec systainer is but theres a centrotec installer kit thats out soon.

They just released a new Limited Edition 2015 Centrotec HD systainer (#200909).
Which is still hard to get and strange enough not published on the Festool websites in Europe.
It's available at Gerschwitz Germany at €419 incl. MwSt/VAT/BTW.
So I think you'll have to wait at least 8-10 months before there's a new 2016 one!

That set looks great! Too bad I already have about half of whats in it, the spiral bits, and the new longer bits I'm missing...Rachet set don't have either.. I don't need all the individual loose bits, the measure stick... Nice job Festool!

I managed to take a peak at that set at a recent show. It seems to be aimed at someone doing a lot of coach bolting etc. Theres a large ratchet set which looks like a rebranded wera set. Theres some decent looking auger bits. I spotted a decent folding knife and a more sturdy tape measure. Theres also a new type of screw bit magnetic holder which again seems to be made by wera.

Not sure if it has been released , I know they couldn't find a price for me on the day

Me to, I wonder if they come in a box set?

Yeah, they come in a box set, together with all that other crap you see in the pictures above.  [smile] Unfortunately that box set is a bit too big for my taste.  [sad]

Looking nice... Already got 2 different sets though. Do I need a 3rd one....? Not really..... ???

I quite like the idea of the Centrotec systainer, but it's just too expensive as a one off purchase. I'm sure if you added up all the things that are included it's quite good value for money, but to spend £290/€410 in one lump on drill bits/driver bits, etc is just too much IMO. I see these ancillary type products as the sort of thing you pick up for £10/£20 bit by bit as you need them, not dropping such large amounts of cash in a single transaction!

Probably good value indeed, but if I'm shopping for special drill bits I don't want to also pay for a socket set or a folding knife, so those extra, totally non-essential items negate any value gained.

Furthermore, by shopping around I've bought most centrotec items already, and from sources that were a lot cheaper than the standard Festool price so I got way better value for my money than the full set could ever offer.

I'd just like to add the new auger bits that weren't available before, without having to pay for a lot of items I already have.

I'm going to Toolfair tomorrow , I'll talk to the Festool guys there Bob and Phil and maybe Jumbo and see if they got one for sale in the UK.
