Are there any plans to webcast or video the Festool training classes?

I know I would be willing to pay for video content.

... I can see it now.. festoolTV.tv(this domain is available by the way.  [poke] )

All Festool 24/7, learn how to work faster, easier, smarter, any time of day or night.

I would love this option. No travel. Learn what you need when you need it. See how some of these accessories were designed to be used instead of just guessing. Festool Online University.

check tube plenty of videos, gary katz's door hanging dvd he uses festools to set a door in a existing jamb… lot of resources

Part of my dayjob is making such videos.

I would be happy to come to Vegas or Indy and record & edit them for free, you just have to pay my travelling cost  [smile]

Shopsmith has been doing it for years and with great success.  Really no reason Festool can't.

This would be great if the CD of the tool training were packaged inside each new tool you bought and it shows a few projects (starter, mid, and advance level) that showcases how the tool was used to make the project. Or just an unlock code for an online course so you can track how many people are really using the vids after they purchase. This would be another way to expand the audience.

Wouldn't mind paying money for this.  It's very frustrating to get an email that there is a new class opening and by the time I get to it, its booked full.  Goal this year is to attend the cabinet class (god willing).

I would also pay to see on-line training videos. Or if DVD's become available I'd purchase them. I do have Gary Katz series of DVD's, and the information contained there is worth way more than the cost.

On a happy note, I convinced my dear wife that we should get the 1400 router before March to beat the price increase. :D good thing I start a new job tomorrow, cause the folks at the CC will want to be paid. LOL

Might be a dumb question but where are you guys finding Festool training class lists? I don't see anything on the Festool USA site  ???

Thanks

Jim ,
Peter posted a link to register for training.

Heres helpful hint that may or may not be need to be mentioned.

They only take roughly 6 people per class.

So as soon as you get the notice sign up.

They fill up very very quickly.

The one I took in Las Vegas had people from all over the country.

Folks come from far and die to take them.

No matter what the class you'll learn something.

I have already taken the cabinet class.

I just signed up for the intro class.

Why the intro class?

The way the classes are structured you will have any questions you may have about the festools you already own and be able to learn to use and play with and get questions answered about the ones youhave been considering buying.

Steve was very good at answering everyones questions, personally I was having some issues setting up some of their tools and Steve taught me where I was messing up in the calibration / adjusting of the tools.
Now life is good.

For all:

Another thing I learned is if you got a brick and mortar dealer you buy your tools from, they can put you in contact with a festool rep who will answer all your questions.

Its all part of the same great Festool customer service we talk about adn have experienced.

One thing to point out - just because a class was full when you looked at it when the notice for the class was originally advertised, doesn't mean that spots will not become available later.  Often there are cancellations  [scared].  Check the site regularly and you may have the opportunity to sign up later.  This happened to me and I signed up for a previously full class.  Then I had to cancel, so someone else was able to sign up.  If you can ever attend a class you will benefit no matter what you skill level.

Peter

Festool should add a wait list for each class. This would also allow Festool to gauge the demand for each class.
