Festool CMS-GE Router Table and INCRA LS POSITIONER SUPER SYSTEM

I have been a watcher for a while, but this is my first post.

I have a CMS-GE Router table (203158), with both infeed and outfeed extension tables (492092), as well as a sliding table.  I thought I had the ultimate setup and indeed it has worked well for the last year...

but I recently looked into the Incra LS Positioner and really want to use it.  The obvious issue is that I need an extension to the rear in order to utilize the LS.  And yes I have looked at the dozens and dozens of posts on this board and others around the "495531 VB-CMS/CS 50"... but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be an option anymore.  There are even dozens more configurations and part numbers that I either can't find or don't think apply to the CMS-GE.

Today I called Festool and talked to customer support about options for creating an extension off the back of the CMS-GE router table, and they didn't have any ideas.  They then transferred me to "solutions support" and the guy abruptly and curtly stated, there is no way, it is impossible.  I was somewhat shocked that he jumped to that conclusion so quickly.  I asked about "203457 for MW 1000 Mobile Workshop and MFT 3" and he said "nope it is impossible to connect that to the CMS-GE".  Then I asked about the "495530" and he said "can't attach that either".  Then I asked about "495531" and he said "never been sold in the US".  Basically he said nothing I could come up with would work... which really says my investment in the "Festool System product" doesn't fit with anything else Festool and there is no possible solution to my query.  I get they discontinued the CMS-GE last year but there was zero empathy from Festool for trying to help a customer find a possible solution.  Frustrating and surprising to say the least.

So that brings me to you and my first post here.  Am I really out of luck?  Am I really stuck with a $1,300+ tool that I now can't do anything more with?  My guess is that more than one of you gurus has some creative way to solve my issue...

I want to use my CMS-GE Router Table and integrate in a reasonably productive way the Incra LS Positioner Super System... let your creative juices flow and hopefully show me the path to success.  And I apologize if this has been covered in some other thread, but honestly, I have searched for days and haven't found any solution that applies to the CMS-GE and any commercially available products today.

guybo, thanks so much for the two pictures... the first picture appears to be the MFT just nestled up against the CMS-GE, not really the solution I was looking for.  But the second picture is inspiring!!  I hadn't thought about solving the issue that way, and I think that might be the path I go unless someone else can help with a solution using stock parts.

tjskinny, thanks for the video... I saw that solution and that is where I got the idea for the "495531 VB-CMS/CS 50"... but unfortunately that part is no longer available anywhere and the guy from Festool says that isn't in the US.  If I could get my hands on one, that would be my preferred solution

It appears that the 493822 is still available from the EU.

I would not ask festool or their solutions experts, instead I would be talking to INCRA. In my opinion INCRA's solutions and products are much more creative to begin with

Cheese, thanks for the info... but unfortunately it appears that that part is not available here in the US (I just searched google the first 10 pages, all EU retailers).  I probably should have been clear that I am in the US.  Not sure why some Festool items aren't available in the US but they are available in EU, but there is probably a reason.  Still hoping someone is aware of a stock solution available in the US.

I very seriously doubt that you'll find the 493822 table in the US. That's the reason I only searched the EU web sites.

The only CMS style item ever available in the US was the router table. This aux table was for the TS 55 & TS 75 track saws so the parts would have only been available in the EU. At least it's still available in the EU, and I've purchased quite a number of Festool items from across the pond. Delivery is fairly quick and sometimes shipping is actually reasonable.

With any discontinued Festool item, your worst enemy is time and that's especially the case if it's an EU only item. If you're serious about this modification, I'd start working the phones/email with some EU retailers. You'll not be charged VAT and sometimes on big buck items, that's enough to pay for the shipping.

Both the VL and VB tables should have been available through FUSA. These are options that fit both the CMS-GE table and in Europe, the Festool CS 50 table saw. They are still available here as option parts (CMS tables no more, but the accessories are)
I’d point that out to Festool USA again. Will probably a special order..
Or, I’d think that a European dealer would ship such an item.

The VL was sold here (it was included as part of the GE-Set), but i don't think the VB was.  Admittedly I'm not the premier source of information on that, however.

Apparently they thought people would only want a short-side widener, but not the long-side?
