Festool Connect 2015 in Providence, RI on March 19th

Any hints on what time to get there if you want a seat?  Long time "Forum Lurker/Festool collector", and I'm driving down from Boston for the day.

Last year we had over 500 people attend. This year, we're expecting a LOT more. So, I would suggest getting to Dunkin Donuts Center around 7:30am or earlier to be in line for a good seat. I don't have a definite time for when we will open the doors yet, but will let everyone know later this week. I think last year we opened them an hour before the start time if I remember correctly.

Event starts at 9am. I will also send a reminder email to everyone who signed up to attend with more details the day before the event.

Off to bed for me, I flight out early tomorrow morning. See you guys there!

Hi Shane and FOG

i dont see any explicit mention that this year's festool confab on 19 will have a live
video broadcast, so i wonder if this is not going to happen?

and just remembered last year's 2014 festool confab videos of the actual event
were never released on you tube, were they released some where else? it has
been a whole year, but i remember late last year there was some mention there
was a delay in releasing, but its 2015 confab time.

thanks

We will be live streaming the event again this year.

Regarding last year's video of the event, yeah... it never got edited down and posted to YouTube. Hopefully, we'll get this year's on YouTube afterward.

Shane

To all my friend and fellow FOG Brethren, I hope you have a great time at Connect this year for I will not be able to attend due to a family Health Issue...

I will miss you all as I hope to catch the Live Stream from There during the course of the day.
Have Fun and Stay safe

Hi
So who from the U.K has the date and time saved to view from Providence? [thumbs up]
For me the kitchen table is reserved and the 'Mrs Ron Teti' burgers are booked for delivery [cool].
From last years event Festool U.S has a real cool format for this type of event and well done to them

Phil
............can i come next year [blink]

Of course you can Phil.  We would love to have you!  I don't know if Festool will give you the time or pay for your travel or lodging, but then you would be just like the majority of us! [big grin] [big grin]

But it would be fun!

Peter

Although we couldn't get Phil here this year, we do have Bruce (trainer from Australia) and George (trainer from Germany) present this year.

Shane

Will the live stream be able to be viewed after the fact.  My real job is getting in the way on Thursday.
thanks

The hope is that it will be published on YouTube after the event. We didn't get that done last year, but I will be talking to our video team tomorrow about that to see if we can make it happen.

I *think* Livestream has an archiving feature too, which we may be able to utilize. I'll share more about that as soon as I have an answer.

Shane

I was seriously thinking of coming over, but I couldn't make it work for a couple of reasons. I'm definitely going to try again for next year though. Sorry Phil, I've spoilt your trip already haven't I? [big grin]

Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch the live stream like I did last year, either. I'll be driving down to Birmingham around that time, and then I'll be stuck in a hotel with a crappy connection. [sad]

Shane, I hope you can make editing it & getting it on YouTube your no.1 priority before your finish date!!!

I'm signed up, but I've never been to one of these Connect events before.  Is there an agenda?  I don't think I can stay for the whole day so I might want to schedule my time for maximum festoolness-goodness.

It's a surprise...

In case you missed it, here's the link to the page where we will have the live broadcast from Festool Connect on Thursday from 9:00am until 4:00pm Eastern. Also, from 8:00am until 1:00pm, you can cast your vote for the best video from our video contest top 5 finalists on this same page. Voting does not open until that time.

Shane:
Quick question for you, and perhaps a reminder for everyone.  The email instructions say to "pick up your badge at the Attendee Already Registered Counter on level one at the Rhode Island Convention Center."

Is this correct, and we don't go directly to the Dunkin Donuts Center for the event?  Last year everything was set up directly outside the convention room.  Just checking to make sure.

Let me check and get back to you. I *think* we will have your badge at the Dunkin Donuts Center.
