Festool Connect 2015 in Providence, RI on March 19th

I don't think it was his provider. The feed cut out after the morning session, so I suspect if one was playing catchup it does for them too.

And at the end of the show, same thing happened. If you were playing catchup, you got cut off at Livestream's end... I missed the product stuff because of a work related call.

Hopefully they'll post it soon... or someone was taking notes.

I saw the PDC drill mini demo, but did I miss a NA availability date?

Festool USA's Twitter says "later this year" for PDC.
TSC 55 & BHC are also 2015.

They also made reference to the C18, but didn't show one (or couldn't find it).

I watched the show from start to end and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Except for the fact that, I could not take advantage of the free beer at the end, it was almost as good as being there.

One thing better than sitting in the audience was that I was able to do some woodworking while listening.

Thanks for a great event and for bringing it to those of us who could not attend.

Probably something with your internet provider.  Worked flawlessly for me all day.

As others have mentioned, it has nothing to do with my internet. You probably watched it Live all day. They had at least two cutoffs, one around noon EST for the end of the morning sessions and another a little after 3 EST for the end of the show. I was watching it delayed during both of those. Instead of letting you continue watching until you get to the point it stopped recording, it just cuts the feed off no matter where you are watching.

I enjoyed the content I was able to catch, just wished I hadn't missed so much.

Before the lunch break the audio was terrible.  What did they feed the mikes for lunch?
The guests were absolutely great.

I had never seen Kaylee on TV, but she is definitely a winner.  so energetic and bubbling over with imagination.  I was interested in hearing of her experience with teaching school children.  How could they not get interested with so much energy showing the way.

Jory started out a bit nervous.  He really got rolling tho, as he got into his talk, especially as he got into his depth of experiences.  I can understand his frustrations with working to plans when he can see so much in the way of possibilities for experimentation.  I especially liked how he treats his kids to NO TV.  My wife and I had the same philosophy with our own children.  NO TV.  A few times they came home with an assignment from a class to watch a certain TV program for some sort of report.  I would insist they go to library and take out subject matter on th same subject.  They reported same to teacher and ended up with entire class going to library.  Oh some parents thought i was wing a hard a--, but a couple of teachers thought it was great. >>>For Jory >>>  Keep it up man.  With your imagination and experimentation, your children will learn a lot more from you and your wife than they ever will sitting in front of the boob tube.

All in all, I spent a full day sitting on my butt and enjoying.  It was an education over all.  Oh! I almost forgot.  The demo of the edge bander was great. I could not hear much, but the demo did not need a lot of talk.  Guido Henn, watch out!

A big thank you  [thanks] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] to all who were responsible.

Yes, I watched it live.  I see what you mean now about playing catchup.

I may have missed it, but wasn't the TXS noticeably absent?  Would like to buy both the PDC and TXS.  Seems like that would be an ideal combo.

Must say, I enjoyed watching it live.  Regretfully, I couldn't be there in person.  That PDC 18 seems to want to find a home in my shop...

[big grin]

I was only able to watch about 15 minutes due to other commitments, but I got to see a bit of Kayleen's talk. Her enthusiasm is contagious.

One thing I guess I missed by not being there was seeing WHAT she was talking about. They made very few cuts to show the screens she was referring to, just staying on her. While she is a nice-looking young lady, the lack of ability to see her presentation materials made it quite difficult to follow along. Maybe next year more cuts to the screens or a split-screen might be possible?

I hope to watch all of the presentations later when they are posted.

Apologies about asking the same question again, but could someone please tell me who was the presenter in the first two hours, and what were their presentations about?

I saw presentations starting from Gary Katz almost from the very beginning  (cutting crown molding) which started at 11 am EST, then was lunch until 1 pm, then Kayleen McCabe with her story of her road to woodworking and television at 1 pm, then Jory Brigham talked about his lifepath and projects he worked during his career at 2 pm, and then demo of cordless tools new to the US market starting at 3 pm EST.

I wonder what I missed.

Brian Sedgely did an extensive demo on the Contura in the first two hours.

I had a blast today.  Thank you to the Foggers who came up and took the time to talk.  Also thank you to Festool USA for a great show!

I watched bits if it from here. The first hour I couldn't get anything , then I came back during Kathleen's and got cut off and came back during Jorys. It was nice to see Jory, wish we could get Kayleens show over here.
I wonder if I can find it online?

Enjoyed parts of the live stream.  Missed the afternoon but hope is a live stream of the video posted.

Would be great to be there live, but appreciate the content even being remote.

Thanks Festool!

Thank you for a great event. It must have taken tons of effort to put this show on. Please pass the thanks back to the team.

Had the opportunity to meet up with an old friend from our local car club, cool to catch up. Was fun to meet Shane (passed him Danish greetings), Peter Halle, Bob Marino and a bunch of other nice tool geeks and professionals. Ohh, almost forgot awesome folks from Canada too.

Gotta try to find more Gary Katz events! That was a super presentation.

Both Kayleen and Jori did a stellar job presenting. Wow Jori, your work is fantastic and Kayleen your enthusiasm sure is contagious. Sorry the audience got spell bound by your energy, you did a great job.

Looks like we might get the sys vac at some point. Brian Sedgely surely hinted at that.
New tools coming too in the 18V category, cordless drills and track saw (with great dust collection bag, yes bag and up to 2 batteries)

Better start saving the pennies.

What was the "door prize" as you left? Had to leave early and woman at the door said they weren't ready to hand them out. Just curious. Great event today, thanks for all the hard work.
