It's about that time of the year, and I guess someone needs to ask...  [big grin]

Is there going to be a Festool Connect this year at JLC Live in March.

Yes, there will be a Connect in Providence again this year. Still ironing out some of the details but I'll post and email everyone about it as soon as we get everything nailed down.

Hopefully it won't be the same time as Scott Burt's paint classes.

I agree! I don't want to miss a thing.  [scared]

Once Festool/Shane posts information about Festool Connect, you can usually use that information to register free for both Festool Connect and JLC Live.

If you decide to go, and need hotel accommodations, rooms are going fast; especially near the convention site.

Is there a registration fee?

Thank you Shane.  Just tossing out an idea for those of us who don't do videos: perhaps there would be an interest in hosting a Systainer modification contest (submit your photos)? I have been more inspired by seeing what folks have done with their Systainers, that I bought several classic 4's and I'm in the process of building custom tool boxes (SYS HWZ types) for each of my 3 son's. Some great ideas out there, except I wondered a little a bit about the Frankenstainer one awhile back (sorry guys, I didn't get that one).  [smile]

As always, I'm looking forward to Festool's Connect. I've never been disappointed and since in the last few years it has been opened up to include customers, I think they would concur.
It's an informative, entertaining time for those lucky enough to attend.

Bob

Sorry for not getting back on the questions sooner.

Registration is free and we provide an exhibit hall pass for the JLC show to Connect attendees. I will post more info when we're ready to release it, which should be soon. So you can reserve the date, it will be the Thursday before JLC Providence, as usual, which is March 19th.

We have considered doing a Connect in another part of the country and it has come back up again this year. We'll see, but no promises. Logistically, it just works well for us to do it the same time as a show because we have the tools and people there already.

We will be doing a video contest again, which I think I mentioned already. So, start working on it now. More info to come on that too, along with an entry page link. We will likely also do a separate contest on the forum here soon that likely won't require video for entry. Stay tuned.

Shane
