I just got the Festool Cover Plate for the TS 55. Has anyone had issues with the bolts used to attach the Cover Plate not sitting flush with the bottom of saw? There are recesses for each bolt but, when using the springs included with the Cover Plate, the bolt heads aren't sitting completely flush - very, very slight protrusion, but enough to drag on the guide rail. Even at full compression (or as hard as I'm willing to twist the knob), there's still some drag.

If I attach the Cover Plate without the springs, then the bolt heads are sufficiently recessed and the Cover Plate is secured. Anyone run into this problem or identify any concerns with just not using the springs? I'm not sure why the springs are necessary but, if I'm missing something, I could just trim them a bit.

I think I understand what is happening. The springs go on the top under the U shaped bracket. The springs push the black U plates up so you can easily insert the cover plate, and also keep the hand nuts from rattling loose when the cover plate is not installed.

BTW in order to use the green anti-chip doohicky you will need to cut a section out of side cover plate. A grinder makes quick work of it.
