Festool CSC 50 EBG problem - sloping fixed table

I recently received my CSC 50, and I seem to have an issue that I have not seen with other people.

The fixed table slopes upwards towards the middle of the saw and then goes down again (see photos). It's not an issue with the sliding table as that appears to be straight. It is not cupped as I've read appears to be the issue with other people. It is the fixed table that is convex. The slope is at least a couple of mm at its highest point as can be seen from the photo.

It is also clearly noticeable when I move the fence as the fence clearly grates the table due to the friction.

I'm planning to return the machine in warranty as it clearly seems to be a fabrication issue.  Any one else have or has had this issue?

Use the 30-day if you can.  Get another from the dealer.  QC will likely return that it's within tolerance.

Not acceptable in my book.  Makes you wonder if they dropped a washer under the top then tighten the top down.  Is it like that on the other side of the blade or just one side?

Return it before the 30 days is up. There may be an issues with the table requiring disassembly. The reassembly will not match that done on a production line no matter how careful one is. The production line most likely has QA testing equipment and visual inspection you will not get during a warranty repair.

Thank you all for your replies.

Unfortunately, for reasons beyond my own doing, the 30 day window has already closed.

The "bulge" is only on the left side of the blade, the other side appears to be flat. There is nothing really supporting under that side that might cause the raise. I'm assuming it was bent as it was assembled. You can also see the black mark where the fence hits the bulge.

To amend this, the whole outside steel cast would probably have to be replaced.

Their stamping die isn't well tuned.  Mine aside from the slider cup issue, had a slight bump near the insert plate lip.  That part too was grinding with the fence, though not as bad as yours.  They didn't notice nor touch that either when I had sent mine in.  I think their standard solution is to raise your slider bed so that it doesn't grind.  :/

I would talk to a rep / sales manager before sending it in for warranty.  Servicing is swamped and will do it by the letter, which is unfortunately has extremely wide tolerance margins.

Late update here..eventually I turned the machine into the official repair centre and they immediately recognised the issue and stated they would solve it. As the machine is still within in its 3 year guarantee period, it was resolved without any cost for me.

I received the machine in a little less than a week and I have been using it to my satisfaction since.
