I bought the CSC Sys battery powered table saw recently and am absolutely delighted by its accuracy and ease of use. The height adjustment is within 0.1 mm and is probably done with a stepper motor. I currently use my pretty neat CMS OF for router table work but would love to see something that resembles the quality and accuracy of the CSC Sys.
The criteria that I would hope to see would be a router table running on perhaps just a pair of 18v batteries. A 1/2" collet is highly desirable but an 8 mm collet might just about do. Battery life from full charge should approach 60 minutes with a 3/8" cutter running 1/4" passes at a 30% work rate.
The form factor should be similar to the CSC Sys.
Perhaps other contributors could elaborate on the requirements so that the clever people at Festool can get to work on this straight away.
