Does anyone know if you can place a 30 gallon trash can between the CT 22 and the radial arm saw to create a 2 stage dust collector. That way, the CT 22 filter bag wouldn't fill up so quickly with sawdust or wood chips.

I have a CT 33 that I am using with a mini cyclone that I got  off of Ebay.
The cyclone is mounted on a 20 gallon drum. It works very well.
I have read on other boards about people having good success using
the cyclone lids and trash cans. You just need to have a very good seal
between the lid & trash can & use a heavy duty trash can that will not collapse.

Bob,

If you do a search on cyclone or Oneida you will find at least a couple of threads discussing the subject at great length.  Most have done it with 10 or 20 gals, but there is a lot of information in those other threads.

Bob,
This is a subject that other members might be interested in seeing more easily.  I'm going to move it to the "All Tools and Accessories" area.

I think the discussion is labeled "CT 22 + Dust Deputy vs Lunchbox Planer" or something close.  There is quite a lot of discussion.  I have been experimenting and reported same within the discussion.  others made some very good observations also.

The answer is a definite YES.  I am using an Oneida Dust Deputy with my CT-22 for as many operations as I can, including TS 55 and router.
