Festool CTL MIDI I (BT) + CT-VA-20 | the correct hose adapter (you will need it)

... I would have assumed the short hose from the vac to the cyclone should be as wide as possible to avoid restricting the airflow.
At best it would not matter, at worst it may cause dust buildup issues in the too-wide hose.

The air volume is (already) restricted at the cyclone, so if you would use a wider hose, the only effect will be that that hose will have a lower air movement and dust may build up in it while sanding etc.

Anything anove the original 32mm is basically not gonna help and if too wide, like D50, may even introduce potential issues with dust buildup in the hose and even ecrease the cyclone separation efficiency. The CT-VA does not work optimally at high air volumes. It shines at mid to low air volume and in being compact. That is just the nature of the beast.

If air volume is a priority, one should look at the Oneida 2.5 offerings instead of trying to make the CT-VA into something it is not designed for ...

My first use of a CT-VA... drilling a 55mm hole in brick wall. Some piece of debris got stuck on the cyclone' entry  [huh].

Always a nasty surprise to have the dust extraction adapter (the kind that sucks itself to the wall) fall off when drilling.

The finnish suport is wrong then. That part is for connecting to another 50mm hose-end

204919 is the new correct part. It's the equivalent of 500672 but I understand it has the RFID chip too.
