Not in my experience. Fine plaster dust is terrible for any bag, but at least the modern cloth bags collapse on themselves so you have some movement there to free some pores. The paper bags are totally static and clog in seconds.

Anytime I’m doing drywall and don’t have my 36AC I just count on changing the bags when they are 1/3 full. May seem like a waste but trying to suck drywall dust through a clogged bag is an even bigger waste of my time.
