Hi Everyone,

I have just made an overview video of the CTLC Sys extractor. It is a very neat bit of kit but be warned - the battery life is very limited and if used continuously they get quite warm. If you do decide to buy this machine then consider getting a second pair of rechargeable batteries. Also, due to the batteries getting warm with extended use, consider using an airstream charger (that blows air through the battery).

Thanks for the great review!

I too found the battery life to be shorter than expected, especially in continuous use (such as general cleaning/post project cleanup).  I bought it primarily for the Bluetooth, and, as far as that goes I'm pleased.

For me the idea was to replace my DeWalt DCV580H portable vac.  In general, the CTC SYS outperforms the DeWalt.  But I gave up the much longer battery life and, more significantly, the dual power (the DeWalt has both 20v AND mains power).  As a dust extractor the CTC SYS is far better than the DeWalt, quieter, better suction, better hose.  When its all said and done the CTC SYS is the better vac  but the DeWalt represents significantly better value due to it's longer battery life and ability to use mains power.

I would hope that the brilliant engineers at Festool would have been able to offer a the CTC SYS in a dual voltage.  At this point it would be nice to see a mains power adapter that works on the CTC SYS, the cordless Table Saw and KSC 60.

Amen to that!

I bought one for cleaning around the house, mainly for dusting (I hate dust) and on low it lasts plenty long for me to do most of what needs to be done. I do wish it had more suction levels such as a lower low. A mains adapter would be awesome.
