Hi Everyone

At the same time as borrowing the KS60 Festool UK also let me borrow a CTM26. I had originally planned to incorporate it in a new Dust Study video using expensive dust monitoring kit from a local company but the timings just did not work out. The KS60 and CTM26 have now gone to another reviewer.

I did manage to put the machine to work and I did manage to grab enough footage to put together this video:

Were I to invest in an "M" Class extractor I would be tempted to go for a CTM36 or CTM48 for no other reason that bag capacity. The CTM 26's capacity is such that the bag gets changed more often which is probably a good thing though and it would make the second stage filter last longer.

Peter,
As per usual, a very thorough and interesting demo.
I like the way the HEPA filters are removed. A big improvement over the old CT 33 and 22.

Hi Peter, thanks for the review.
I recently bought a CTM 26 and was hoping you would shed some more light on the "additional plug socket" and what type of options there are to be fitted.
If you find time for such a video in your busy shop, I'll be here, patiently waiting. [emoji4]

Keep up the good work. You are fabulous!

I bought a CT 36 E last year in NA.  What is the difference between the machine I have and the M?  Mine does not have the adjusting knob for hose size, though you can see the knockout for it if you look close.  I don't think that it has such a wide variety of beeps either.  I've seen some references to the fact that EU or German regulations may have a role in the difference.  It looks like the bags and filters are the same.

Is there a real difference in dust extraction performance and HEPA efficiency, or is the difference just regulatory?

Peter,
I was interested in your 3M flow protector.  I would appreciate details of the model number.
Thank-you, Phillip
