So you go to a Festool Dealer in July of 2012, and their tool stock is in a Classic systainer! What options do you have?

Discount? Demand a T-lock? Go some place else and buy?

Cheers,
Steve

tools in clasics are discontinued  stock so ask for  a discount , if paying full whach get a t loc, if they wont get you a new one then go somewhere else

Tool in classics have not been discontinued, at least here in the US/Canada. It's still the same tool, just the systainer is different. There are still customers who prefer to have classic systainers, presumably so they all match.

If you want T-LOC, ask them to order it for you in T-LOC or check with another dealer. If you need help finding a particular tool in T-LOC somewhere nearby, let me know and I'll try to help.

Shane, I thought tools would not longer be offered in Classic Systainers when existing stock was gone.  You post implies a choice of T-Loc or Classic Systainers are currently available to all dealers/users.  Is that right?

Keep in mind that if your are using a sysport with the classics you don't have to lock them to close the drawer.
You could close them, but not latch them.

With the new T-locs you do have to shut them all the way to close.
Then open them all the way to open.
Then shut them all the way to close.

In the sysports, i prefer the classics.

Roger Savatte,

Look at the bottom of my post and you will find most all of my tools, listed... I have very few T locks (RO 90 and sanding sys)...  Working on site I want the T locks.... if you or anyone want to swap out the same tools systainer... their tools T-lock and insert for my Classic and insert and we pay our own shipping ... I open to that in a heartbeat!!

Cheers,
Steve

  Brice,

I'm not speaking for Shane, but IIRC, there are a few tools and accessories, - OF 2200 and the Imperial Accessory kit, for example that may still be available from Festool to dealers in the Classic Systainers. More frequently the case, is that some of we dealers have a few tools and/or accessoriesstill in stock in the Classic version.
