Hi Everyone,

We would like to apologise for the overexuberance of the people here, they was excited regarding the new site and did not mean this to be used as advertising and were not completely in line with the forum rules?

To compensate for this we would offer people 5% who register who saw this for one week.

Once again, we did not mean to offend anyone with the post, and be completely assured this will not happen again.

Thanks

Amy that is a nice offer, no offense taken by me at all. I might have taken you up on that, if I was in the UK.

Nickao

How can they offer 5% off, isn't pricing controlled by Festool?  I was under the impression that if a distributor sold Festool at prices other than standard prices they would no longer be allowed to distribute for Festool.  I could be wrong, wouldn't be the 1st time.

I believe they are located in the UK.

I assumed the pricing structure applied worldwide.  Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah, you and about a thousand other USA Feestoolians.

Not me.

For example, the C12 cost 379 Pounds in the UK.
Less 5% = 360 Pounds, which equals $717 US,
56% more than we pay in the US.

So, what are we complaining about?

So again, what does the cost in the UK have to do with any of this?

Nickao
What it has to do with this is that Festool-Direct is located in the UK.

You know Frank I totally posted that response to something else I read crossing it with this thread oops, I erased  my response as it made no sense in this thread.

Sorry guys. I was actually talking about the thread where the new 75" Guide comes with the TS 75 now and maybe the people who purchased in the last 30 days could return and get the long rail, with or without the price increase?

I read Michaels post , but I was thinking the wrong thread.

That's what I get for working in the shop 10:00 pm until 6:00 am.

Sorry about that Michael.

My mistake!

So, Amy, I like your offer. I am thinking of buying a CMS. Does your offer mean that this will be ?351.33 less 5%?

I know for a FACT that it is not allowed to discount Festool in the UK. If you have found a way then you'll be the first. A friend of mine who WAS a dealer is not a dealer now because he sacrificed some of his profit margin.

You know Amy is a dealer, but it really does not say specifically Festools are discounted, although it seems implied.

I have not gone to the site, do they sell other tools as well?

Could we be misconstruing her statement?

I hate for her to get into trouble for trying to do right by the "FOG" members.

Nickao

Is she trying to "do right" by anyone?

I got the email directly in my email box this morning - decided it was another damn advertisement and deleted it

If they want to apologise to someone - the way to do it is to say "I'm sorry - I humbly apologise, that was tacky and will never happen again"

You don't apologise for advertising where inapropriate by saying "hey, wanna buy some stuff at discount?"
