I am building a bed for some young (mostly broke) friends whom we dearly adore.
I decided to try the Festool connectors. I watched all the videos I could find and Peter's are, by far, the best. Peter makes the complex process easy to understand.
I bought 8 connectors and have made a couple of test joints, but without actually expanding the anchor piece as that is not reversible. I think this will be an excellent option for take apart items.
My plan is to make the rails of two 3/4" oak boards glued together. The joints will be one Festool connector and one 14mm by 100mm tenon. The tenon will be glued in one board and cross pinned (wood screw) at the other end.
Again, Peter's videos are excellent.
