Hello I bought this Festool cutter - DSC AG 125 FH. Its used in the vertical position as a cutter (with a disc cutter blade). E.g for cutting a tile etc.

I want to use it in the horizontal position - as a grinder (with a grinding disc) to remove the tile adhesive or grind down uneven patches of concrete floor. I want to relay new floor tiles in the kitchen and keep the dust down.

Can I just change the shroud, and use the same grinder, for example this

I know Festool do a RG130 - but its expensive for the one off single job.

( I am based in the UK)

Of course you can, this tool is a standard angle grinder, with just a fancy hood attached. All other normal grinder accessories will fit.

It is a pretty good cutter/grinder actually. Dust collection is very good - even with the "open shroud" and I have used the DSC from time to time and although it is perhaps not a very powerful machine it does well within the limitations.
