Festool Duo issue with light dimming

Been having some issues with my Duo light. At random times it will dim its self for a few mins then ramp back up a few moments later then dim then ramp up. Light is blown out often due to it being used for drywall sanding work so I make sure it’s as clear as possible of dust. Is this a known problem?

I had this problem with my first Duo light.  It would start randomly dimming after it had been on continuously for about 4 hours.  I sent it in for service and haven't had the problem since.

Thanks that’s good to know. It’s still under warranty so it’s going back as soon as this job is finished. The issues I’m having with their tools are wearing thin on me.

Good it is still under warranty, try taking it back and let them fix or change it for you

Mine has done that since day one. It' definitely seems to be heat related. After about 6 hours of continuous use it starts dimming. I unplug it and let it cool for about 5 minutes and operates normally, aggravating!

I have had a similar issue with mine as well. Just goes dim randomly. Kind of like the hi/low setting on the hand held but obviously scaled to a much larger light. I had thought it was a 'mains' issue as it does not do it often or for long and had always corrected itself in short order. [scratch chin]
