Alright a couple guys said who they were is anyone else going to admit to owning any of those mugs in the photo?   ;)

Guys,

It was great meeting all of you, and I really appreciated your insight, candor, and stories...the food was good "Thanks Michael", and I hope you all had as good a time with the Festool Family as we did with you.

Sorry, I missed you on Tuesday (back went out), as I would have liked to have wished you a fond goodbye.  Thanks for taking time out of your lives to share some time with us.  And don't be shy about posting your thoughts about the FOG, and how we can make it a better place.

Martin

Let me start by saying thank-you, thank-you to Festool for allowing me to participate in this event.  They're a great group of folks and did an absolutely fantastic job.  They far exceeded my expectations in the overall experienece I had.  I would have never guessed that Christian, Martin and Michael would have spent as much time with us as they did, both observing and listening to our opinions, and  Brian, Rick and Shane did a great job in all the presentations.

And as Peter mentioned, Minnie Gleb was terrific, from all she did to help organize this event, to her help in providing us the necessary information prior to the event and helping us with lodging reservations, to all all of her efforts while we attended the event that made our stay so enjoyable and rewarding.  Thanks so much to the entire Festool team!

This was a great experience, I enjoyed it immensely and am looking forward to attending more training in the future.    It was wonderful to meet both the Festool "family" and the other forum members that attended.    We covered a lot of material and 2 days and left with quite a few tips/techniques (and maybe a bit of information overload), both from Festool as well as the participants, some of which have already started appearing on the forum, with more to follow in the next few days I'm sure.

I'm 4th from the right in the back row.

Fred

PS - Martin, I hope your back is improving rapidly.

Someone from the class saw things that he wanted to purchase and take home.  He called his dealer, placed an order, and arranged to have it drop shipped.  But rather that it being shipped, he picked it up while he was there and carried it home himself.  Instant gratification.

I didn't want to say who it was.  Maybe his significant other reads the forum too  ;D ;D ;D ;D.

Ok Brice, since you asked, I'm the very handsome guy in the front row on the right holding the
Rotex.  And I got to my computer late and have to add a big DITTO to everything posted so far about visiting Festool.  I will only add that as good as the tools are, the Festool family was the best part of the experience...the nicest group of people you could become friends with...And Minnie is the best!  A very genuine and special lady!

Wayne,

You and Shane were the only ones I recognized.  That's what you get for including your "mugshot" as part of your profile.  You look much taller in the Festool photo.

You guys won't believe this, but that exact statement about Wayne was a joke for two days at the class.

Word to the wise.  Never sneak up on Wayne and keep your hands in sight at all times.

Hi guys, I wanted to post this morning but had to roll out and work till now. I have to agree with everyone's comments. The Festool family was really great and treated us all wonderful. Joe is absolutely right, we have to thank Minnie for her dedicated work and long hours. She made it possible so that a bunch of men could all get together, not go hungry, not burn the place down and have a good place to sleep.
Christian, Shane and Rick were clearly interested in making this a productive time for all. It clearly wasn't just work for them. There was another guy too though, what was his name? Bald but with that Arnold Schwarzenegger body (back when Arnold was young, early Terminator) really knowledgeable, super enthusiastic, gods gift to women. Oh well maybe I'll remember Brian's name sometime. ;D
Enough sucking up for a few. I'm the one in the yellow shirt holding the jigsaw. Wayne you look way too comfortable with that Rotex in your hand.
For those of you who didn't get to go this time, I have good news. WE behaved ourselves so I think Festool will let others come. Seriously though, it seems that Festool is dedicated to putting classes together on a regular basis. Not just in Lebanon but also Nevada. I think many other Festoolians will have the opportunity to benefit from future classes. I would urge anyone to sign up as possible when classes become available. The tool knowledge to be gained is really tremendous. How many Trion owners know what the little nub at the end of the hex key is for? I'm sure I'm not the only one to dumb to figure it out on my own. (It's to adjust the blade shaft thickness for proper blade holding, see the little hex nut) I've had my Trion for 2+ years and never knew it.
On a more personal, human note. I think the last couple days was another great example how different people with different lives can get together and find common interests, conversation and laughs. I thought the variance in professional careers was especially interesting. "Professional" wood workers were clearly a minority, seems like an interesting tidbit for the marketing dept.
Client calling, gotta go, will post more ...

OK, I get it, I should post here too.  :D

Guys, I'm the one standing behind Wayne, in the light blue shirt with a beard.  As you can tell from my moniker, I'm Dave.  Sorry, only posted here a couple times, I'm usually much more active on a couple other forums.  Others have said it better than I can, but to everyone at Festool in Lebanon, thank you!  I learned a lot about the tools I own, and had fun, too.  I'm looking forward to other class offerings and I'd recommend them to anyone that has the opportunity.  Warm hospitality, excellent facilities, and GREAT people.

Oh, and I got a Festool hat.  :D

One thing that is needed when you go to Festool USA - a purpose.  But just because you have a purpose doesn't mean that you have to leave your sense of humor at home.  I remember from physics class that for every action there is an equal but ...

So, with tongue in cheek, was that a church hat or a regular hat.
