Hi guys, I wanted to post this morning but had to roll out and work till now. I have to agree with everyone's comments. The Festool family was really great and treated us all wonderful. Joe is absolutely right, we have to thank Minnie for her dedicated work and long hours. She made it possible so that a bunch of men could all get together, not go hungry, not burn the place down and have a good place to sleep.
Christian, Shane and Rick were clearly interested in making this a productive time for all. It clearly wasn't just work for them. There was another guy too though, what was his name? Bald but with that Arnold Schwarzenegger body (back when Arnold was young, early Terminator) really knowledgeable, super enthusiastic, gods gift to women. Oh well maybe I'll remember Brian's name sometime. ;D
Enough sucking up for a few. I'm the one in the yellow shirt holding the jigsaw. Wayne you look way too comfortable with that Rotex in your hand.
For those of you who didn't get to go this time, I have good news. WE behaved ourselves so I think Festool will let others come. Seriously though, it seems that Festool is dedicated to putting classes together on a regular basis. Not just in Lebanon but also Nevada. I think many other Festoolians will have the opportunity to benefit from future classes. I would urge anyone to sign up as possible when classes become available. The tool knowledge to be gained is really tremendous. How many Trion owners know what the little nub at the end of the hex key is for? I'm sure I'm not the only one to dumb to figure it out on my own. (It's to adjust the blade shaft thickness for proper blade holding, see the little hex nut) I've had my Trion for 2+ years and never knew it.
On a more personal, human note. I think the last couple days was another great example how different people with different lives can get together and find common interests, conversation and laughs. I thought the variance in professional careers was especially interesting. "Professional" wood workers were clearly a minority, seems like an interesting tidbit for the marketing dept.
Client calling, gotta go, will post more ...
