Festool Firing Across Dutton’s Bow…

Me neither. I gave up on it many years ago.
Though I did get my arm twisted into Instagram lately  I have avoided it for years, but people just want to know stuff.
Social media accounts are now subject to screening for foreigners entering the States. Some of my friends are now panicking!

I have no Instagram, FB, X, Tik Tok or the like unless you count FOG as a social media account.

I can view Instagram vids but not the comments, without an Instagram acct. Just close the pop-up (click the x or continue on web). For example:

That is an older design.......the new one is 3d printed and attaches to the sander with a friction fit and also acts as an edge guide.
The product page doesn't tell us how it's installed (other than "so you can quickly attach or detach them to your sander as needed"), and there're no pictures showing the installation. If I were a potential buyer, I'd like to know that info. I suppose the vendor is concerned that if too much info is given, people can copy it or fabricate something similar.

The link is to a video from (as MacBoy says) Banks Carpentry taking the new TS 55 light and mounting it inside the DF500 fence.
Thanks...I knew there would be some additional uses for the LM-TS/TSC light module. It's just too compact and convenient not to be used for other applications. Had Festool built the light into the new TSC 55 KSEB, we wouldn't have this option.
Did I mention that the battery in the LM-TS/TSC is user replaceable which is another nice feature. And we know that all batteries die sooner or later.

I have a Dutton light for my ETS-EC150/5 sander. I wrote a review on it some months ago. I don't know what version it is.

It snaps on or off, and can rotate on the sander easily. You do have to deal with the cord, which is a pain. I've heard some people run it inside their dust hose sock. I have mine zip-tied to the hose, which is fine except for the heads of the zip ties.

It works OK, but is hard for me to recommend. The first thing is that it casts the light a bit away from the sander, so you're not seeing the wood just outside the pad, but a few inches away, and then while it's low, it's not a true raking light. Still, it's better than not having any light mounted to the sander.

I did notice in the video that they mounted the metal plate on the inside of the fence to secure it in the Domino. I'm presuming that the light does not come with multiple metal plates (I noticed the same plate mounted on the TS in the other video). Hopefully, this means FT will offer that plate as an additional part over making everyone buy multiple lights.

The light module comes with 2 metal mounting plates but I doubt that will satisfy everyone's needs.

If I click on it, it goes straight to the video. But I guess that's only because I am logged into Facebook.
I might be wrong, but I kinda remember that in the early days, you could view or access the FB's content with a click even if you were not an account holder, and then you would need to sign in if you wanted to continue or see more.

Pouts in HKC... ;)
Ya, i think that this light module and the new dust bag are such brilliant additions to the Festool product line that the adoption of these accessories for other tools should be easy and not difficult. I love using my 3 saws (TSC 55 K, HKC, MT 55) using their current dust bags, but removing the bags and unzipping zippers are just an annoyance. I embrace the new dust bag design and will outfit it to the TSC 55 K and the HKC. Unfortunately, the MT 55 is the odd man out.

Smorgasboard, I have that unit and use velcro strips to control the lines. I use velcro srips to the point that I keep rolls in my van and shop. The rolls sold for gardening are much cheaper than the hardware rolls sold JFYIF.
