Festool furniture plans

It would be cool to see more stuff like this on the US Festool site for novices like myself trying to learn by doing. My logic is to take the tuition for school and buy Festools w/o losing any fingers

  What a great find. Even though I don't particualrly like the style, I give them major kudos for doing it. I can't read German but I can read photos and drawings and there is enough there.
I Have been talking to a US based furniture plan maker and want to do the very same. This is a real incentive to press forward with that idea. The girls will love it.

Please go for it!  I agree about the style. Another consideration is the difficulty level.  Those projects look very basic, which is great, but I'd love to see a collection of plans that include more challenging projects, and show a Festool approach to more advanced joinery tasks.

wow those plans would be helpful. do we have a translator? i enrolled in a furniture making class at the local tech college, big fun I have a fever i don't know if it's festool fever or super bowl fever it's the latter. huge day. go bears dan

It wouldn't be a big problem for me to do some crude translations - although im lacking some woodworking-specific vocabularies. There aren't many words in these plans and with the aid of a dictionary ...

Although my english is close to worse it might be better understandable for you than the german plans.

On the other hand, this is - or may be - copyrighted material and I'm not really interested in finding out who is Festool's legal advisor for intellectual property here in Germany, so distribution of the translated plans may pose a problem.

Perhaps there are some german people at Festool USA which could do the translations (they should be closer to the english language and the specific vocabularies) and place them on the US-Website for the benefit of all woodworkers over there ...

Most likely, it would just be a "don't do that letter", if anything and probably sent with a t-shirt or something to show that there was no hard feelings while they were protecting their rights. They would be hard pressed to prove any financial damages by someone promoting their product.
