OK so I don't want to keep moving my ct36 about(even though its mobile), I just want to leave it where it is and be able to reach the end of my setting/gluing bench. So I purchased the 7m 36mm hose on the bay, not really giving it much thought thinking problem solved. However the 36 obviously doesn't fit to my rotex or domino, my question then is there a reducer I can bung on the end? I've looked on the fessy website, and bought what I thought are just the job...twice ::)  . Anyone have the part number of the one I'm looking for? TIA

im sure i say something in the new us catogogue when they released it a while back. havent looked in the uk one . i made up a whip tail out of a short piece of 27mm hose and 2 tool ends. the tool end fits inside the 36mm hose .
it works great for me as i only bring a 36mm hose on site . the whip tail fits into the sys3 that i store the 36mm hose in.
highly reconmended.

What Bob (and Tom Bellemere) sell as a whip adaptor is what Alan made; likely cheaper for you to make your own by buying 2 tool-ends and lopping off 2-3' of one of your D27 hoses than to get it shipped from here.

You'll like it; only suggestion is a couple wraps of hockey tape on the tool end that inserts inside the D36 end otherwise there isn't enough friction; hockey tape is like a friction tape.

Thanks guys, now going to get a couple of 27s, and cut a bit off my hose  [tongue]

MarkR,

Although I have long used the 36mm AS hose on my TS saws and routers, I strongly suggest extending the 27mm hose for use with any sander and the Domino. Unless you have another reason to own the long 36mm AS hose, I recommend buying a 50mm AS hose and the same kind of coupler tube as used with the boom arm. The 50mm hose has identical fittings on both ends, the same as on the vac end of the 27mm and 36mm hoses.

With sanders and the Domino you need especially flexible hose and you want that hose to stay attached to the sander or Domino.

I have an industrial Shop-vac with a 1.5-inch hose (which is virtually the same as the Festool 36mm hose) and wanted a hose adapter to allow me to use it with my Festools that require a 27mm hose.

I found just what I needed at Industrial Vacuums. Nilfisk/Alto/Attix H302000535 Tool Adapter D27 for $11.98
www.industrialvacs.com/Tool_Socket_connects_suction_hose_to_power_tool_p/h302000535.htm

The rubberized end of my 1.5-inch hose fits perfectly around my Kapex as well as the the larger end of the adapter so it should work with your 36mm hose as well since that's what it was designed for.

The small end is 27mm and fits perfectly over the dust ports on my Domino and Trion.  FWIW it also fits inside the dust port of my TS55.

Be sure to email them and get an adjusted shipping quote for delivery via U.S. first class mail. (Mine was only $3) Their online system doesn't offer this option and shipping costs more than the part.

I'm about to order another that I can cut a hole in to provide make-up air for my Festool sanders since I don't have a variable speed vacuum yet.
