Gotta love them owning the criticism they received. One thing they didn’t address in the video is the cost. Which prompted a thought about the cost of festool tools. Surely some,(some..) of the cost is related to Germany having one of the highest minimum wages. I’m not sure what the various employees make by department but certainly their labor costs through design, manufacturing, assembly, etc are some of the highest given how much of their lineup is handled end to end in Germany.
And Yes, they also assemble (at least) some products in other countries like Taiwan and CR where labor costs are lower - but it the minimum wage co tributes for sure to overall costs.
