Fred, thank you for the kind words...it truly means an awful lot to us here in the "flat-lands" of Nebraska. As Festool dealers go, we do make mistakes, on-line Festool sales is a competitive market, "mistakes" need to be few and far between (I have indeed committed an error , and lost a valued client due to it, and once again I apologize without excuses.)
I have mentioned before that I was in the restaurant business for years, and certainly recognize that people have a CHOICE of where they want to dine. It doesn't matter to the diner that a restaurant has provided many many wonderful dining experiences in the past; if you mess it up just one time, more-often-than-not the "guest" will choose to dine elsewhere. So...your comment regarding Bob is totally understood and accepted unconditionally.
Festool users are the most loyal "clients" in the world. Mr. Bob Marino has done a remarkable job with the proliferation of his client base over the years; and for that matter, the proliferation of "Festool Awareness" on several forums other than the FOG. Personally, I consider Bob to be the "boiler-plate" in this sector of the industry. Simply looking at the posts and threads of a couple of Festool dealers, a FOG member or guest quickly realizes where the "empathist" toward dealership preference lies. From a business owners standpoint, it would be foolish to try and market to either of these respective dealers client base; Especially in an environment such as the FOG....hence, I stay in the
sales zone trying to lend some levity and innovation to the wonderful world of Festool.
As for the shirts Fred; the color scheme is part of the "branding" initiative. However, if you or anyone else would like a different color, all it takes is a PM or an email and we can make that happen. The lead-time may you may experience would be increased but since we already have the screens, we can print on any color you would like. Consider the colors of the ink as well; I am sure we can switch those up too.
The "Sander" series will be out first part of the year that reads: "When you are finishing, what stroke do you use?"
Fred thanks again for the kind words. It is remarks and posts like yours that keep many of us moving and trying to get better with each passing day.
Happy New Year to you and yours, and to all you FOGGERS. May the coming of a new year find all of you in good health and cheer.
