Hi Everyone

I understand that Festool are going to do a live announcement on Thursday of this week about a new tool. It is being done on their Facebook account at 6 pm German time - here is the link:

Now this may be very tame and just be about something that has already been seen here on the FOG. On the other hand it could be the announcement that we have all been waiting for - DAB jobsite radio - impact driver - Domino D900 - MFT 4 - Festool Bandsäge - who knows?

Oh, the video announcement will be done by the star of Festool TV, Frank Jaksch, who will be speaking in Deutsche.

Yes, live and people will be able to ask questions - I do not know how that will work but I would expect it to be in German.

If there any willing German speakers here on the FOG it would be a great help if they could provide a brief summary of the announcement and any details that people might like to know.

I wonder if the Domino D900 will be in a super size systainer, probably the same size will be needed for the band saw and oh those twin speakers on the DAB boom box could be in a Sys 1 format with the box itself in a Sys 2 !

News on the DAB+ version of BR10 is already in the wild so we know about that one...
 
Based on the link and the fuzzy video picture it looks like the ks60 miter saw. It's new and a good opportunity to do a live session.

Maybe, but if it is, wouldn't they want the big reveal to be before the Hon. Mr. Beckley comes on the FOG to give us a bunch of specs and teaser photos?

I'm hoping it's going to say that each active FOG member gets a free tool/extractor combo of their choice.

Yep, I'm all in the mood for the new tool/extractor combo deal too.  When I'm in this mood, I also buy lottery tickets.

The new design reminds me of a robotic version of a ram's head.  Something that might come after me in a video game.  I haven't seen something that different since Bosch came out with their articulating arm, which also looked robotic.  Any reviews out there yet, or is it just marketing glossies?
 
Just giving this a nudge if anyone wants to watch it - 6 pm Germany time and 5 pm UK time (about 1 hr 25 min from the time of this message being posted).

If anyone can give a translation into English of any key points it would be appreciated - unless it is a tool that we can already look for on a web site somewhere.
