Morning all, bought a lifelong bag maybe 3 years back ...  all fine but the long black clip broke. Wandering if and where I can buy a replacement clip in the UK ... or anywhere come to that.

Or as an alternative, a better way of sealing the open end of the bag?

Also just to ask, love the unit, (is great for sanding Toupret 130 plastered walls for a smooth finish with an EC150) but I do still get a lot of surplus dust in the main unit (even with a working black clip) and the filter gets very packed with dust... is this normal form or something I should be looking at?

Many thanks in advance for reading

You could try contacting Festool UK and asking about availability.  The closure strips are available for other size long life bags (larger).  It might mean getting a longer one and cutting to size, but they can advise better.

Thanks for the advice Peter ...  I will do exactly that. They don't fit greatly well or rather mine was hard to fit and eventually broke. will ask and see what response we got.

All the best

Contact warren at Bunnys bolts in Woking I think he sorted me with one for my mini long life bag they are not cheap though “nothing is “ when mine snapped I Tried  bulldog clips etc , none worked properly ,so I just ordered it .i found sanding drywall to be the same.in the end I got myself a cheap bin cyclone off eBay ,problem solved drywall dust works like talcum powder on the inside of the bag after continuous use I found vac starts to get hot ,it doesn’t with the cyclone .

Thanks for the advice Gary .... yes I think mine struggles get a seal between the outlet and the bag. And of course now the clip broke then it's dust city. Yes I also tried stainless steel long freezer bad clips but not really a successful solution.

I searched with a view to buy could not see anything. Will certainly try the folks you mentioned. Many thanks for taking the time.

No problem warrens a great guy only place I ever buy Festool from to be honest , he’s always as competitive as anyone gives a great service
