Hi. I have the Festool Midi vacuum cleaner, the new version.
I also have CMS with TS55.
I also have 497702, which comes with a long hose.
I have thought about buying Cyclone CT Festool.

To connect CMS, with the Festool CT Cyclone, do I need the Festool CS 70 AB 488292, or could I use the hose from 497702 and the one from the vacuum cleaner, adding 50 SV-AS / D 50 V 452898?
How would I have a better aspiration, what interests me the most?
I have seen that in the MIDI vacuum cleaner, it cannot be connected directly, another adapter is needed (festool 499196), but if you connect directly to the Ct cyclone I suppose that adapter is no longer needed.

What is the best?
I buy the CT Cyclone and 452898 and use the hoses that I have or do I buy the cyclone with the Festool CS 70 AB 488292? Thank you.

You can use both, but Festool CS 70 AB 488292 works better because it is shorter. The longer the hose is, the more suction you lose.

Yes, in the end I buy this, since I get a little more expensive and it seems like a better option.
Do I need any more adapters, or is that just worth it?
I know that if I connect it directly to the vacuum cleaner I need another adapter.
I want to use it with CT cyclone Festool.
Another question I have, is the aspiration exactly the same with CT cyclone or is it better to vacuum with just the vacuum cleaner?

More or less the same, makes no difference.

I realize this is an old thread, but since it is already here I didn't want to start a new one.

Anyone else with the new style CT MIDI and the CT-VA-20 have any input?

I'm going to be getting one or two Festool sanders in the future and, while the MIDI is perfectly fine with the Domino, I can see the bag filling very quickly if attached to a sander.

The sanders produce fine dust that packs very tightly.  Routers, saws and planers are where you'll find the bag filling quickly with chips.  I don't have the CT-VA, but would not get it for a wood sanding application (drywall is different).

That makes sense.
If I do drywall work I will use my large ShopVac and 5 gallon bucket separator.
When I get my Kapex I'm planning to also get a CT15 and leave it under the miter station connected to that.
I do plan to eventually get a TS55 and will use the MIDI for that.
I have a roll around 2hp dust collector for my big stationary equipment (jointer / planer / table saw / drum sander, etc.).
Maybe I'm just getting a bad case of FT bug bite syndrome and making excuses to add to the system. \O/
