I am waiting for delivery of the Festool Mini Dust Collector. I will need to connect their hose to my Incra Wonder Fence, which has what appears to be a 58mm elbow at the end for dust collection. What kind of adapter can I get to make the Mini connect to the Incra?

Hi,

You can also use a 2" hose. One of the Festool D50 hoses, or a standard shop vac hose will connect to both the Mini, and the Wonder Fence.  To hook it to the Mini pull the 90 elbow out, it is tight but is designed to be removed. The other hose will just stick out the top instead of making the 90 bend.  A larger hose will probably do a better collection job from the Wonder Fence anyway.

i use my ct22 with the 50mm hose off of the boom arm . it work s perfectly

Old post I know, but can anyone comment on how well the dust collection works using the CT/Wonder Fence combo ?  I'd be running a CT33 with the bigger (36mm?or is it 50 mm?) hose - the one that fits outside the cleaning accessories.

I have an OF2200 which I assume would get me very good dust collection, but it seems a shame to put a nice plunge router under a table.    Planning to use this in a very small space in my basement and am paranoid about wood dust.

The hose that fits outside the cleaning tools (except those made specifically for the D50) is the D36. It should do pretty well at collecting from the Wonder Fence.  I have one and did use a vac collecting through the fence at first, but ultimately went with a down draft full size shop DC through the table (4"). Because the router fills a CT (even the 33) pretty fast, and because it does a a better collecting job. I just closed off both ends of the Wonder Fence. Your CT / Wonder Fence set will be pretty good if the other options won't work out for you.   You may want to consider using a D50 hose on the Wonder Fence though, for a bit more air flow.

Our friend Daniel has an Incra fence set up.  He told me that he has a 36mm hose with a vac end (452894) on both sides of the hose.  It fits directly into the dust collection fitting supplied with the Incra fence.  He says it is wonderful.

Here are a couple pictures of how well the vac end fits into the Incra fence.

i use the 50mm hose from the boom arm. it works great. its short enough that it isnt in the way . i use the 90 degree fitting  to keep the hose away from the edge ot the fence.
i have found that dust builds up in the other extrusion of the wonder fence. i took the plastic end cover off the end of the second extrusion . tht allows more air through and dc is improved even more that it was before

i use the extracted wonder fence half when doing the dovetails etc. it works great for extracting most of the dust
