(Bit of overlap as composing post.)
You appear fairly relaxed about your equipment being ‘borrowed.’ Naturally I’m pleased that has turned up, and, am assuming that getting bespoke tailored clothing made for yourself. So, all is good.
However, others might have a different experience; with, possibly, sinister undertones – am concerned that this is just the tip of an iceberg – possibly an under-reported world wide epidemic no less.
Another FOG member, in the UK, has had a similar experience – which in different circumstances, in the UK, might have lead to accusations of harassment – even a ‘hate’ crime!
I hope Festool are taking an interest in this phenomenon – perhaps a campaign to heighten awareness is needed.
Another, similar’ish, process is well known – can I borrow ‘xyz’ please – will bring it back next week. My bottom!
Children can be worst the worst ‘offenders.’
In my case, battery drill + attachments + all manner of bits, toaster (it can toast a proper size slice of bread apparently) - decorating stuff, etc etc. Even an oven – an extra, so can cook huge Xmas dinner for everyone!!
But I have a plan that sort of works: protracted negotiations, often over a pint, can lead to a fuzzy solution; basically if I give you such and such back – can I borrow something else – just for a few days…
Rant over, and apologies for high-jacking thread.

(Edit: wrt children & tools - never my Festool / good stuff - unless I'm there. Whilst negotiating, have to man up; do not accept as valid arguement / comments such as 'Dad, you've got plenty more - what's the problem'
