This topic had started as an announcement of a one day ebay sale, which is over. It evolved into a discussion of the Multi function Stool. Since the sale is over it has been converted to the stool topic.

I wish I had logged into Ebay earlier today so I could have given everyone more time.  I ended up purchasing the Festool MFH 1000 Multifunction Workstool (which I like to call my "Old Man" sitting stool), that I already had on back order with another company.  If there was ever an expensive/frivolous  purchase I needed a discount on, this was it.  The sale saved me about $80.00.  The stool will save both my back and knees.

You'll like that work stool. I put my work center on it and between the 2 it holds a lot of stuff

That is good to hear!  I do intend to purchase the work center eventually (perhaps when Ebay has another 20% coupon day).

In the mean time, I have a nice stool to sit on while checking the air in my tires (with the kids and wife, that is 5 cars to keep the air pressure correct on, not counting my John Deere riding mower and cart tires).  I also suspect the stool will come in handy when waxing those cars, or refinishing some old furniture in my basement.

I built inserts for the  drawer and built some small cubbies for the area above the drawer to store a few more things. If I didnt hace the WC I would be stacking sortainers on it saves me walking around the shop trying to get things.
I also modified my WC adding a few storage bins etc.

[member=10147]jobsworth[/member] - can you share photos of your modifications to the drawer unit and the WC?  I have both - use the WC on my CT-26 with boom arm and really like it.  The stool I have separately.

Thanks -

The only way I ever find out is if I happen to log into Ebay, and find it on the home page.  When I posted this yesterday evening, there was only two hours left before it expired.    Normally, I log into Ebay at least once in the morning.  The one day I don't, I almost miss the sale.  Thankfully, as with most people, I maintain a wish list,  so deciding which item to buy does not take me long.

Edit:  I just received the tracking info from Hartville Hardware, and it appears the "gift to myself" will arrive in just two days.  What really shocked me however, was the listed weight of 68lbs!  That is one heavy stool!  I certainly won't ever be trying to sell off this item (I could not afford the shipping).

Your previous thread about accessories for the Workcenter would be a good link to add:

My Festool Multi-Function Stool arrived today, and boy, talk about heavy duty quality!!

I particularly like the rubber corner bumpers that will prevent damaging anything it may run into.  Without question this thing reeks of quality, as it should considering the price.
