Construction of Festool's warehouse and headquarters in Lebanon, Indiana is in its final stages. This will enable greater centralization of  their management, training, warehousing and shipping operations. Currently, Festool products get shipped from 2 warehouses - Winchester, VA and Reno, NE. Both of them are 3rd party warehouses.
With Festool assuming total ownership and control over warehousing and shipping, order processing should go smoother/faster and have UPS tracking info available almost immediately.
Completion should be in mid summer.

Bob,
Thanks for the update on this.  I know the move to Lebanon is a big step for Festool, and everyone in the corporate offices has been working hard on it.  It seems that the new facility will be better for customers and dealers.

But the people in California are going to lose out on surfing (unless they can find some sunny beaches in Lebanon).

I'd love to do a virtual photo tour of the new warehouse once it's up and running.

Keep us posted.

By the way, have you ever see the movie "Paris, Texas"?  Are we going to hear similar jokes about Lebanon, Indiana?

Stay in touch,
Matthew

I'm sure that tour would be of high interest to all of us. I'd like to pay a vist there myself this year.
Never saw "Paris, Texas", but I will check it out.

That sounds great but I love the one day shipping to the west coast from Reno  >:(

Yes, those customers closest to the East and West coast warehouses will experience a longer shipping time, but in all, this will be a big step in Festool having a way more effecient means of tool storage and shipping.

Bob,
I know it's a small thing, but UPS will be nice!  I live on the east coast, and it only takes 3 - 4 days for a Festool shipment to arrive.  But you know how it is -- part of the excitement is tracking the package as it makes its way across the country!

Oh, I understand the importance of tracking, but  Festool will still be using UPS.
