Can someone tell me what the difference is between the OF 2000 and the OF 2200 routers? Someone has a brand new OF 2000 for $425. I was considering it but if it is not the same or does not function as the 2200 I will not consider it. I know one of them will not work with the CMS system.

Thanks.

I can't tell you all the differences, but I can tell you that I paid less than half of that for my OF 2000 on the recon sale. I think it's priced way too high for what it is.

Everything is different.

The OF 2200 was a night and day improvement over the OF 2000, which is a very basic router. I don't think I have a side-by-side comparison of them though.

The OF2000 is a good router but that is way too much for one, and Shane is right about the 2200 being better.

to be honest, the OF2000 is an extremely nice router and it is a pleasure to use. Having said that, the OF2200 has significantly more bells and whistles and better dust collection. It also has a higher price tag.

During the recon sale, the basic OF2000 was going for slightly less than $200. That was with not systainer and one 1/2 inch collet.

If the OF2000 for 425 is the set version with more stuff, the price is still a bit high. If it doesn't have the systainer, edge guide or the extra collet that seems way high.

Wow, thanks folks, I am glad you caught me before I made that mistake. I was just getting ready to email the guy to meet for the purchase. I will for sure hold up and go for the 1010 or the 2200.

I already have a 1400 mounted in the CMS but wanted another one for hand routing and flattening glued up small pieces rather than running them through a planner. I made a simple jig I saw on Youtube and figured the 1010 could probably do the trick.

Thanks again.
