Just opened up my Woodcraft flyer and there it was, front and center.  "For the first time ever, save 10% of Festool TS55 and TS75 and select accessories".  It's not a package deal, it's a true discount.  There is no way on earth Woodcraft would do this without the express consent of FestoolUSA so does this throw open the doors to competitive pricing?  Maybe they needed to do something to stimulate sales.  This could get very interesting...

It's a good sale.  But, it is sale that all Fesdtool dealers are participating in.

Frank, that may or may not be the case.  The TS Saw Spring Promotion is at participating dealers.  I don't have any specific knowledge if all dealers are participating or not.  Offer available in US and Canada, cannot be combined with other offers, no rain checks.  Please check with your preferred Festool dealer before placing your order.

The promotion will run during the months of April and May 2010 and TS 55, TS 75, TS saw blades, all guide rails (including LR-32), the guide rail accessory kit and parallel guides are included in the promotion.  We really hope this represents a great opportunity for our customers.  More details, including a Festool Spring 2010 mini-catalog will be made available very soon.

Who knows?  Maybe Festool is testing the waters so to speak.  They have always held such a firm line on non-discounting individually purchased tools.  It also could very well be a one time event too.  Time will certainly tell.  I missed Bob's post.  Sorry about that.  I know this has been bantered about ad naseum but it is a diversion from a long held policy.

Oh, I forgot, you can also enjoy additional savings when purchasing a TS 55/75 with a CT or MFT during the promotion.  Sah-weet! [cool]

Shane,

I just want to make sure I understand the offer correctly.
In your first post it states that the 10% discount offer on the TS saws & rails cannot be combined with other offers.
Then above you say it can be combined with the package discount with the CT & MFT.
Which is correct?

Hey Howard,

Festool has many times run "seasonal promotions" where savings are offered, as well as (used to) offer some items with an "Introductory Pricing"
But is has been a while, soooooooooooooooooooooo, here's hoping good things with the Spring Promo  [smile].

Chris, sorry if my posts seemed contradictory.  Packages aren't really considered "offers".  They are standard items in our catalog.  So, customers will be able to enjoy additional savings on packages featuring a TS saw.  I'll try to get the mini-catalog I referred to soon.  That will clear things up and have complete details on the promotion including item numbers with prices, including the packages.

If the spring promo goes well, hopefully a summer, fall and winter promo will follow.  Due to my usual bad timing I picked up the parallel guides about 1 month ago, I would've waited if I knew I could have saved a few bucks.

OK, it's been an hour where is the mini-catalog??  [tongue]

Seriously, we appreciate all your help.

Son of a gun, it's online now.  Boy are you fast!!!!!

Festool must be feeling the pinch of the recession a bit too. It's nice that they are putting some stuff on sale. 10% off doesn't make me run to the store regardless of the merchandise. I need a couple new blades for my TS so this will help. Overall though, I don't think Festool is going to get more out of me than they would have anyway for consumables. Our sales tax is 10.25%, 10% big whoppy do.
15-20% off on a wider array of stuff and I'd buy more than normal.
This sale goes along with my same thought of the past, that Festool sales tend to favor bringing 'New' customers in.

Wow, so why did I go and get an MBA?  My 2 years of school was summarized in a single post!  I have now figured out why all the services organizations have introductory prices for only new subscribers  [blink]

OK, enough of the sarcasm.  The way I look at it, I'm buying Festool no matter what.  If I get a discount, it's just that much better.

If you couple this sale with no price increase this year then you're closer to the 15-20% you'd like to see.

Hey, I'm not complaining either!  [big grin]  I don't need the saw as I have the beast 75 already.  10% off a Kapex, well, I might have to blow the dust outta my wallet for that.
