Festool Owners Manual binder?

I did a search for this and found nothing discussed so forgive me if this has been covered...

As I accumulate Festool products, so do I accumulate Festool Owners Manuals. I hate to leave them in the Systainer where they'll inevitably get banged up and I noticed they are pre-punched and folded to go into a two ring binder. Maybe it's a standard hole spread and I can go get one at the office supply store but if Festool has a branded one I'd like to get one. Who am I fooling....two!

Hi,

Why not place the manual in the bottom of the systainer - underneath the plastic insert? This way, you will always know where they are and will always be on hand, especially important if you should take the tool/tools off-sight.

I download the PDF manuals from Festool's website and print off the relevant english pages on A4, in some case this is only a couple of pages, stick them in a ring binder and I have access to everything i need, the problem with putting the originals in a ring binder is that you could end up with a couple of sys 5's full of ring binders

Good idea since many of the manuals have multiple languages in the printed copy. One could also put a printed copy of just the pages in the language of choice in with to tool and keep the original in a file cabinet.

I like this idea.  Keeping the manuals with the tools is obviously an optimal situation when it is reasonable to do, and this way they aren't in the way if you don't use them often.  I think I might try sticking a few of mine under the inserts...

Thank you!

I have stuck all mine under the inserts. They are always handy, yet out of the way and don't get damaged. I also download the manuals to my phone especially the supplemental, so I can pull up additional info quickly, like matching up two track saws to the same track. Very helpful.

Here's a link for the Leitz 1075 A5 binders:

Leitz 1075 A5 Binders - $10.50 ea

On that page, click "Read Reviews".  About half of them specifically reference Festool Manuals! [smile]

Binder looks like this:

Cheers,

P.S.  Glad I saw this thread. Ordering three of the binders myself! [tongue]

That doesn't work for all tools. In some cases the the available space vertically is nil.

I have all the paperwork in one nice stack in a top corner of a closet.
