Hello good people. I’m cleaning house and you might just like to pitch in.
This whole thing started as I was cleaning out my basement over the weekend and posted to a Facebook group, wondering where a man might unload a few unneeded tools. Well the whole thing snowballed (read: avalanched) into my selling off the bulk of what one might qualify as one of the best stashes around, complete with limited edition and otherwise hard to get pieces. Festo Belt Buckle, anyone?
Head this way to find my best current list of all the tools, accessories and assorted swag that I'd like to move from my shop to yours. Most of the lot has seen limited, if any use and has been collecting dust (not in a good way) for the past couple years.
A few ground rules to get out of the way upfront:
1) I've already received a handful of messages from folks interested in purchasing the entire shooting match outright. If you want to put an offer on the table, send to michael@toolbelts.com. And if you just want all the cordless or some other (large) basket of goods, feel free to go ahead and send it over for consideration.
2) Full lot bidders will have until Wednesday morning to get the conversation started.
EVERYONE ELSE: No need to email or PM for individual items before then. I will provide an update Wednesday morning by 9am as to whether and when we'll start selling things one by one.
3) It was pretty tough putting prices on everything, so well... I did my best. Once we open up the floor for offers, I'll try to be as fair as possible in sorting out who offered what and when. Bear with me, please!
4) I will continue digging until I find anything and everything I have related to the products up for sale and will throw in everything I can to ensure everyone gets a good deal.
5) Perhaps most importantly, I am not selling any of this by necessity. Really, I just kind of wanted to clean house and thought this could be a little fun. As such, this is in no way an absolute auction and I reserve the right to pull anything that's not getting the love.
6) A few of those special limited edition items seem best suited for an auction of sorts, with all proceeds going to Marc Spagnuolo's Woodworkers Fighting Cancer efforts. A Festo Buckle, Trainers Gear, Apron + Beanie, Cooltainer, and maybe a couple other pieces will go this route, details forthcoming.
Thanks in advance for your patience. This should be pretty fun (well… interesting, at least)!
