Well I'm fairly gobsmacked by all this righteous indignation and ridiculous entitlement demands placed upon the company from some quarters.  Personally I think you should count yourselves extremely fortunate to have a deal like this, despite any minor inconveniences involved.

From a personal perspective I'd just like access to a Festo sander, any size, any model, for less than $500 plus!  For me, the very cheapest sander starts at about $550 odd, and extends up to just shy of $1700 each!  For our Trans-Tasman New Zealand colleagues, the situation is even worse!

I'm pretty sure we know it's beating a dead donkey at this point (it looks more like a donkey to me).  We're just venting...a lot in some cases.  The forum also provides a great way to fantasize about how Festool could make things up.  My vote is free swag.  Who wouldn't want a free Festool pen, pencil, or sticker?  We're all on our journey to the acceptance phase.  Personally, I enjoy randomly bringing it up to my fiancee about issues not even related to wood working.  She feels a little differently.  There will likely be grumblings even after all sanders are delivered and online forums are a perfect place to grumble away.
