I am new to this forum and apologize if this post is in the wrong section.

I've just brought a new TS55 saw along with a pair of FS 1400/2 rail's. I was wondering if the Makita SP6000 saw's rail bag will take the Festool rails? I've read some reviews about the Makita saw and they all said that the Makita rails were 99% the same as the Festool rails.

Thank You

Hi Dendo

[welcome] to the FOG. Good to see another Brit on the forum.

I am not sure about Makita bag, but as you have been bitten by the blue and green monster I would strongly advise you jump to this bag.

The bag alone is £93-44, and you can add the bits as you need them. If you have the rails it will only be a matter of time before you get the parralell guides, clamps, etc, etc and this is a good storage medium.

i only bought my ts 55 and 2 rails last year. i didnt realise this set existed as i would have bought it  or at least not bought the things in it until i could. i am too far in now to buy it as a set and will get the bag seperatly and make it up as time goes on. if you can afford it i would get this set . dont know about the makita bag but if it fits it will be okay.

I've got the simple Festool bag at it's pretty handy.  I've got (3) 55" rails and (1) 42" rail in mine and though it's a bit tight, they fit just fine.  Throw a few clamps and the rail connectors in the zippered side pocket and you're golden.

Hi, to all members,
A update on my first post, I've got the Makita rail bag today and both my Festool 1400/2 rail's fit this bag.  On each side of the Makita bag is an small zipper pockets that can be used for clamps and rail connectors.
