Whatever your use case, there is only one universal advice from me on this - get (at least) one Makita connectors set. In addition to any others you may/may not have.

It can do it all, albeit is not as convenient. It is the one for absolute precision. And it is the one for absolute strength. Is also cheapest of them. Even if used only once, it is the reference one to have/fall back on.
