I first saw this bit in the states and have been wanting to get one for a while. Its comes in 2 pieces the bit head and the spindle. The spindle is designed to screw into the the threaded shaft of the OF2200 after you remove the collet. The carbide tips are replaceable.
Im not 100% sure but I think they make a spindle for the 1400 to.
I bought this primarily to use the CMS for edge jointing. Before you ask, the spindle though sold separately is only used for this bit.
First photo is the bit in my OF 2200 with out the fence to show you what the bit looks like. The second photo shows the wood prior to jointing, the third photo is the jointed edge. The jointed edge was well awesome. So now if I can figure out a way to face joint boards using festools, Ill be a happy camper, So between the 850 with the bench stand, the CMS and the TS 55 I got all my edge jointing covered.
