I just received a reconditioned TSC 55 KEB PLUS from Festool Recon.  The saw and 5.2 batteries were built in late 2022.
It looks to me like neither were ever used.  No scratches etc on anything.  Maybe Festool does an amazing job of cleaning these up before they sell them?
I am not sure about the 5.2 batteries. Was there a problem with them that made Festool change them to 5.0?
I am very happy with the purchase.  Can't wait to use the track saw.

Your TSC 55 sounds like most of my recon purchases. I have bought at least 10 tools recon and only one didn't look brand new. I willingly give up two years of warranty for a brand new tool. I have had most of them for 5 years or longer and never have had a problem. Excellent program in my opinion.

Congratulations on getting what was most likely a "test-drive-and-return" tool!

Those who get older tools are usually the "didn't like the repair quote" and/or "never responded back after sending it in" tools.

I think the switch from 5.2 Ah to 5.0 Ah was more about the base cells being used for the overall pack than an inherent problem with the 5.2 Ah batteries or architecture.

ETS/EC 150/5 Recon had definitely been used, as not all the sawdust had been blown out of it. Outside looked very good, though.

Did a couple of cuts today.  I really like this track saw.  Took me about 30 seconds to figure out how to use it.  The dust bag worked OK.  I would not use it indoors with just the bag.  Got about 75% of the dust.  The cuts in some old Oak plywood were really nice.
I can't wait to start my next drawer upgrade project in the kitchen.
This replaces a TrueTrac setup with a Milwaukee 2730 M18 saw.  The Truetrac system is pretty good.  But it took days to get it set up correctly.  Plus it is not a plunge saw and it does not have a dust collection system.

I bought the new M137 Accessory kit that included the FS-WA angle stop.  It was expensive but it had the things that I wanted to get in addition to the angle stop.
The angle stop itself is pretty nice.  Well built and well thought out.  The ball that fits into the stops could be a little tighter.  I checked the alignment and the scale on the unit is spot on.  One thing I like about the unit is that everything is held together with screws and bolts.  So I can take the whole thing apart and adjust if I want to.
I am worried that the blow molded Sys3 insert will not hold up over time.  Also the track clamps are not held in place, they just bounce around in the well under the angle stop.  Kind of surprising given Festool's prices and reputation.
I attached my shop vac and cut plywood on a foam board.  Looks like I got 99% of the dust.  I did put a piece of tape over the window.

Congrats on the TSC, it’s a great saw. I’d recommend checking out some of the accessories from TSO as well, the guide rail squares, parallel guides, and bench dogs are all top notch.

More importantly, a CT midi or CT26 extractor for your health.

Well my Festool disease symptoms are getting worse.  I bought a CT MIDI I from the recon site.  I hope to get it this week.  I can't wait to hook it up to the TSC 55 using bluetooth.  I'll report back when it arrives.

I got the recon Midi I yesterday.  It looks to be brand new.  The power cord wrap was never attached, the screw holes did not have threads cut in them.  One problem however, the hose was bent to much in the hose garage and it now has a permanent kink in it.  It is one foot from the business end.  This means that it reduces the hose diameter in normal use.  I will see if Festool will do anything about it.

Just to Update.  I called Festool and they sent me a new hose free of charge.  I use the MIDI with a Dust Deputy low profile.  The combo works great.
