Mmh. After paying some £220 for repair and return courier I’m quite shocked to receive my tool back in this box with absolutely no packing or foam. Not how I sent it away. I did not send it back in it’s systainer as I wasn’t sure it was a viable repair.
Top of the handle has come off and one of the tabs to hold it is broken. God knows what sort of alignment may have been knocked out of whack.
As a full on Festool user / purchaser my nose has debátelo been put out of joint. Surely they will have had issues with this sort of packing before if it is standard practise.

Did you call them before posting this?

I’ve had 2 tools repaired by Festool uk and had no issues what so ever

No I haven’t as yet. My feeling is that this should not be happening. It would be nice to know if others have had a similar experience. View attachment 1I’ve had repairs done in the past but used the systainers the tools came in.

Hi
Can you drop me a PM please with your contact details or email me Philip.beckley@festool.com
I have sent the images over to service/logistics.....can you also send one of the outside of the box please?
Rg
Phil

Just updating on this issue. I was contacted by festool and as suspected this is not the normal procedure for returning tools. A head will probably roll.
Thanks to Phil for picking this up.
