I assume the shroud can not be removed for use as a regular angle grinder with cutoff wheels an such.

I appreciate that, it will always be with the tool.

Looks like a new much better version of the Bosch. Hopefully it isn't underpowered like the Bosch

It seems very similar to Metabo's offering.  I wonder how significant the differences are.

That Metabo unit is not available in Canada.

When you consider the currency conversion to Cdn dollars, the RG130 comes with a premium wheel worth $300 and it is CSA approved (big deal to business owners) it would be inline or very close to the Metabo offering

Motor is 13Amps and therefore should not be underpowered

Is this thing coming to the USA?  converting from Canada money to Anticanada money that's like 900 bucks.  Could have used it several years ago, but still have uses for it, not sure if it's 900 dollars of uses though.

No official announcement regarding introduction in the US.

Since Festool is being cagey in the US, there's an alternative in the Bosch CSG15.

Looks to have much nicer price.    I'm guessing currently the Canada dust/silica regs are stronger than the USA at the moment, thus why Canada, but I think the US is coming around to the issue quick.
