In the past, I've driven to Dallas, TX and Alexandria, Louisiana to attend Gary Katz Roadshows and found them to be well worth the effort.

Of course, it would be nice if one of these events actually made it to Houston!

I just found out about something that will intrigue those of you in the Toronto area from my colleague and Festool trainer, Brian Sedgeley. Lee Valley Toronto West will be offering several training classes at their facility that are similar to our training classes but conducted by Lee Valley instructors. These are not Festool sanctioned training events, however Lee Valley staff has been extensively trained by Festool trainers. You can see their class schedule and learn more about these classes on their website. Rob may be able to jump in with some information too if anyone has questions.

Just returned from the cabinet class at Allegheny Millwork in Pittsburgh. The class was taught by Allen Kensley of Festool, and was very well done.   [thumbs up]  Thanks to him, Keith Walsh (Festool Regional Sales Manager), and Annette Serino, Chris Peters, Tom Gillen, and others at Allegheny Millworks. Although I own several of the tools demonstrated, I still learned a bunch of new stuff about those plus stuff about other tools, and some neat new techniques. So now I'm a master cabinet maker (VERY DOUBTFUL!).   [eek]

Oh, and it was well worth my driving 200 miles each way to see it!

Yes there is YouTube and this board... It would rock to see a site that is interactive, reviews each tool(including the ones not in NA), and goes through progressively more time consuming and difficult projects. You could even have a system that rewards members for creating their own training programs, jigs, or questions/answers submitted.
