Festool Roadshow Coming to the Tool Nut on November 5th - Save the Date!

[member=2878]ezdrive[/member], I have heard that the Roadshow truck will likely be at the Connect event. I can only assume that it will be making additional stops in the Midwest in the coming months, but would recommend that you post in the Ask Festool section of the forum to get answers from Festool directly.

Sorry that you can't make it out to The Nut for our event. It would be great to get as many of the forum members in one place as possible.

All, I've added a page to our website for those planning to attend the Roadshow event on 11/5. If you plan on coming, please fill it out. This will help us with planning food, etc. And maybe there will be a special prize for a randomly selected guest who registers.  [wink]

Saturday, November 5th from 10am-2pm

We'll have plenty of fun things going on, in addition to tool demos on the Festool big rig. Over $1,000 in prizes will be given away but you must be present to win. Free food and beverages.

Register now at http://www.festoolproducts.com/roadshow!

We're only a few weeks away from having the Festool big rig roll into The Tool Nut. I'm looking forward to getting to meet some new folks and hang with some friends that day.

Be sure to pre-register for a chance to win a SysLite. Must be present to win. Plus, we'll have free food, beverages and over $1,500 in prices throughout the day.

Just over a week away from having the Festool big rig roll up into The Tool Nut and we're getting very excited.

I'm looking forward to meeting and hanging out with all of you there.

A reminder to pre-register for a chance to win a SysLite. Also, we'll have a lot of other prizes and giveaways throughout the event that day. Must be present to win.

See you there next Saturday, 11/5, from 10am-2pm!

Just registered.  Will be driving up with a contractor friend from the city.

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] What's the parking situation going to be like?  You guys just have that tiny lot outside the store, and I don't recall any street side parking on the main road.  Maybe on that side/cross street you're on?

And I'm not sure you can answer, but in general is this an event that is designed to be attended from start to finish, or is it more a drop by at some point type of thing?  Just trying to plan when to arrive, since I'm not sure if I can make the full 4 hrs given other commitments.

Ha, Tinker! Not exactly.  [blink]

[member=37411]Edward A Reno III[/member], we have a great relationship with owners of some adjacent parking lots that we will use to supplement our own parking. We will have signage and/or people on hand to help direct folks to convenient parking that's very close to the store if our lot gets full.

Feel free to come and go throughout the event as your day permits. There's no obligation to stay. We will be doing some giveaways and other things throughout the event, and you must be present to have the opportunity to participate in those. Otherwise, come and stay as little or as long as you'd like.

Look forward to meeting you and others!  [big grin]

Shane,

Have a great time.  Do what you do best- walk the walk, talk the talk and have fun showing tools!  Wish I could be there!

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] Question: I'm coming up with a contractor friend, who is also a Festool enthusiast, and by chance when I was working with him last weekend I noticed that his Carvex was seriously compromised -- experiencing all sorts of blade deflection.  I was wondering whether it's appropriate in the Festool Roadshow setting to bring in a tool that is performing badly in order to get someone to take a look at it there -- not to fix it on site but to determine whether it's appropriate to make it into a Service issue?

Not to speak for Shane or festool employees, but when I attended the Road Show here in Reno Nevada, another customer brought their track saw with them and one of the festool guys was looking at it... not sure if it was a repair but I would think with all the trained Festool guys at the Road Show it would be a perfect time to bring a tool in for them to at least look at.

If Steve Bace is there, give him crap for me!!

And have fun!  [big grin]

Agreed, at the very least they will know if it just requires adjustment of the guides or a trip to service.  No harm in bringing it and asking on site.
