A big THANK YOU to Festool USA for bringing the roadshow event to Houston this year.

My brother and I attended yesterday's stop at Circle Saw Builders Supply and had a great time.  The Roadshow is moving on to Houston's Woodcraft Southwest today (Friday) and Woodcraft North on Saturday.

They were short a staff member and Christian Stuetzle jokingly asked if we could stick around after we helped demonstrate the Kapex.  Sometimes a pro user sharing real life experiences makes a bigger impression on other carpenters than a sales representative.  We certainly sold a lot of Festool when we used to volunteer to do the monthly demo's for our local Rockler store.

We also had the pleasure of spending time with Allen Kensley.  Here's a couple of photos of him demonstrating loose tenon joinery with the Domino XL.  My brother Erich is looking on to pick up new tricks.

After going to the show at Circle Saw, we actually attended the Woodcraft Southwest event yesterday and seriously considered driving across town to the Woodcraft North event today.

There is a lot to see!

My wife and I are going to be in Denver the week before the road show gets there. If someone had not screwed up the air reservations I would have been there (and attending) for the shows.

Tom,

I wasn't sure what to expect but I had a blast.

Sorry for your wife's "mix-up".  I guess now you'll have to go shopping and site-seeing with her.

Wasn't the wife, our oldest daughter (lives in Denver, she made the plans) who is never ever, never having children-------is pregnant with twins ([laughing] [laughing] [laughing]), needless to say me nor my wife are brave enough to tell her she made a scheduling error. We both changed our plans to accommodate.

Thanks, she and her husband will be great parents.

Wife is planning a shopping spree, I have a daddy do list. Biggest problem is getting what I need there. Packing boxes of tools and material to ship. I think I'm going to have a 3000 and 1400 guide rail delivered from a dealer, maybe a Mini or Sys Vac also. Wish Tom was around to take care of this, a simple text and things magically show up.
