I went into the Richmond, VA  Woodcraft today (an unusual occurrence for me) and was shocked to see a flyer taped on the door announcing that the Roadshow will be at the Richmond, VA  Woodcraft on March 1, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

I plan on going and hope to meet a Fogger or two from Richmond.

[member=101]Festool USA[/member] , just an FYI : the Roadshow website doesn't show any events past the last day of February.

Just a reminder for those in the Central Virginia area.  These types of events don't happen often.

I spent the entire time there with Alan, Nadia, Kyle, Katherine and the Woodcraft Richmond gang.  Great event!  Wish it wasn't rainy but the temp in the trailer was warm.

Got to see and touch the new stuff announced.  I saw it in the fall but this time I could take my time with it.  The hoses are really cool!

Nadia was demoing the new Domino 500 knockdown connectors for the first time and she rocked it.  From what I saw they will fill a niche opening and will offer basically a no fear way to add knock down fasteners to the arsenal of those who have the Domino 500.  I hope to get my hands on a set before too many misconceptions are out there.

Met a Fogger and several lurkers.  Also met the new RSM for the area Thad who was taking it all in.

Also got my hand a the new 2018 Catalog - SWEET!

The calendar on the Roadshow website has been updated in April and I recommend that if it is near and you can make the time - GO!

Were they giving out any nice swag?

I was hoping to get out to the roadshow at the Leesburg Woodcraft this Saturday.

Go for the knowledge and the ability to interact with those who have so much knowledge - taught and also assimilated thru experience.

Each swag experience might be different.  So go to TWO!

Oooh hahaha I was mainly going for the swag.  I got a nice t shirt and can coozies at the 2016 roadshows.

I would also like to go to the Springfield Woodcraft roadshow on Tuesday, March 6th if I have time.

Peter, it was great meeting you today and seeing all the new improvements to the Festool product line.

I really like that Df500 connector kit! The demonstrations were awesome! I went in wanting to learn something and wasn't disappointed. Our Woodcraft store has been a great resource for us Festool people. We're lucky to have them here in Richmond.

I just looked up the Festool Roadshow schedule and it looks like they will be back to the Nashville (Franklin), Woodcraft on March 14, 2018!

Count me in....I really enjoyed the 2016 visit.  Looking forward to seeing all the new items I plan on buying come April 2, 2018.

Two, I'd be happy for ONE event within 200 miles. I searched the roadshow calendar and nothing near Wilmington or Philadelphia came up for 2018.

I think it would be nice to have a way to sign up to get a sense of how much interest there is in an area, and then use that sign-up to be alerted to roadshows within a radius of x miles from the persons location by email. If such an option exists, I did not find it on the USA Roadshow website.

Festool isn't driving this rig to dealers unless there is a demand or interest from dealers.  You need to pester your local dealers to get into the program.

Peter

I remember my local dealer telling me that during the last Roadshow (2016), they sold well over $35,000.00 in product.  Of course, with Festool, that does not take long as it might with some other tool companies.

As a follow-up to my comment.  The catalog printing and production is gorgeous.  Heavy weight paper and great images.  I pulled out one of my catalogs from 2009 to compare and went "Holy Cow, what a difference."

It appears that the production cycle for the catalog was long enough that the most recent announced introductions to the Festool line are not included.  Don't know if there will be at least a supplemental electronic new product update sectional, but hope so.  This kind of stuff happened all the time in the pre digital days with catalogs.  It is getting more rare now, but...
