Is it true that you should break rotex sanders ?

I mean 4 houers on normal mode and 4 on aggressive mode!? [eek]

Rolex 125 is my favorite sander ever. The ETS 125 is a joy to use too.

I have 5 Festool sanders, all were fantastic fresh out of the systainers. I have never understood the break in period thing.

It's nonsense but you may need a couple of hours to warm to the sander.

+1

I have two sanders and never did anything the break in other than use the sander.  My Rotex did take a little while to get used to however.

I purchased the RO150 and used it intensely for a particular project, then sold it afterwards. But loved it so much I bought an RO125 straight away for keeps.

Both the sanders take a tiny bit of getting used to in the aggressive mode. And the RO125 is a little trickier than the 150, but not to the extent that i would swap it out. The 125 is such a versatile sander it's mostly the only one I have with me.
Nearly a year into owning the 125 I have not noticed any change in it's handling/performance, suggesting no 'break in period' affect whatsoever.
