Hey guys, I recently purchased a Festool Rotex 150 (like 2-3 weeks ago). I have been using it to sand a walnut slab 3-4 times a week (or as time permits). It is seldom used more than 30 minutes at a time.
Tonight, all of a sudden, the power started surging. I thought maybe the connection to the Festool Dust Extractor had come loose. I checked that - no problem there. I turn the Rotex back on and again it is surging like a lawnmower running out of gasoline.
So I think maybe it is the Dust extractor? I unplug it from that and plug it directly in to the wall outlet. Same thing, only now instead of surging, it is running at a very low speed. It will not increase speed at all. Just very low. I even take it and plug it in to a different outlet altogether to rule that out. Same issue.
Has anyone ever experienced this issue? Thoughts?
Jeff
